Carynn Tey landed in Bangkok just before the lockdown started last year and since then she has successfully launched her business there, in spite of the covid-19 pandemic. We speak to her about the importance of having an open and positive mindset when arriving in a new country and what it is like to work in one of the world’s friendliest countries.
Carynn spent eight years working on marketing and publicity strategies for the largest global book publisher, got to read books for free and met some pretty amazing cats within the publishing world. In her, so far, brief stint as a freelancer she's greatly expanded her range, working with a jewelry store, ice cream parlour chain, a cybersecurity firm (!), and a solutions platform for independent workers.
