“You are never too old to pursue your dreams” At 62 years young, Beatrice Chien started a new career as a freelance actress. Since then the lively 78 year old retiree has acted multiple roles on stage, television and featured films, including a supporting role as the matriarch Ling Cheh in a Hollywood film Crazy Rich Asians. She shares with us how she stays active for her age and why she wishes local writers will write meatier and more interesting roles for the older generation

Beatrice Chien is a freelance actress, who has acted for the stage, television and movies. After her retirement from nursing, she decided to pursue her passion and started acting at the age of 62. She starred in feature film " Breakfast  Lunch & Dinner" by Karen Cai and has supporting roles in HBO’s  "Serangoon Road" and movies such as Ramen Teh by Eric Khoo and “Crazy Rich Asian" by Jon Chu
